First Christmas
Christmas break was so very wonderful. First of all, because I had 3 weeks off so we got to spend lots of good quality family time with the family in the Bay Area. Secondly because it was Isaiah’s first, so everything we did had the “awh…It’s his first (fill in the blank)” Like first santa hat, first ornaments to hang, first packages to open, etc. All the pomp of a proper X-Mas and he will remember none of it. Thank the heavens for digital.
Nana’s Baby tree. Dressing up the kid in crap he won’t stand for next year. Her dog Dot in the background. Isaiah LOVED Dot. Mostly because she didn’t try to lick his face with toxic breath like Pablo and Gisele.
My favorite family photo (of everyone but me. welcome to the sacrifices of motherhood)
Auntie Shan and Nana on Christmas morning, with the Christmas poster child. How could we not be merry with this adorable baby covered head to toe in christmas duds. and really, green monkey pajamas?! what is more festive than monkeys? They were a gift from Auntie Ann Marie and they were perfect.
He has just opened his present from daddy. His very own remote control. Funny that he obsesses on ours already and we don’t ever use it for TV in front of him! It’s like he knows there is some special power contained within and maybe if he pushes enough buttons, it will be revealed to him.
Anyway, now he has his very own to drool on.

Great holiday photos! The first Christmas is so special. I think we will count Shay’s “first” Christmas as next year since he didn’t have proper eyesight this year…love the Santa photos too!
The three week visit was not nearly long enough. Isaiah’s skill set grew so much in that short time. He could climb the stairs like a short, and forget about catching him when he was on a mission to get to what ever looked interesting which was everything!!Amazing when you know how sick he was a few weeks ago. He and his cousin Nic got to be even better buddies as well as the rest of the family and anyone else,he was willing to meet and greet all newcomers. He was the perfect house guest he put up with constant hugs and kisses and entertained us with loud and long vocals (the life of the party) I can’t wait to spend time with our boy in February…..Thank the tech gods for skype in between visits.
